Cindy and I avoided working on our resumes and went to Video Riot 2003 tonight. She has pics up here. VR2K3 was pretty damn cool… a bunch of people squating in a big parking lot with computers and generators and lcd projectors doing cool ass interactive video art on a gigantic wall. This is the kind of thing that I used to read about while in the OC and think “sigh.. i wish i was in SF…” now I’m here and it never dissapoints. Seeing the laser display got me thinking back to the Vectrex Laser Display project… ubercool ancient console system rigged up to an XY laser rig. Playing Spacewar on a 20 foot screen would be pretty fuckin cool. Maybe i’ll have something rigged up for next years riot.
