i think after 9-11 it occurred to me –like everyone else i sat and wondered why people would want to do this to us… why they were cheering and burning our flag in other countries.. why they were so thrilled at our suffering. then i figured it out. the leading cause of death in america is heart disease and other fat related illness… in other words, we die mainly because we eat too fucking much.. and yet in other countries people are dieing by the truckload just because they can’t scrap up a few grains of rice to eat every day… then i realized that there is a cost for all our luxury. everytime i drink a $10 glass of scotch.. people had to die for that… when i blow 10mpg through my hot-rod car.. people are dying.. in short.. people have to die every day so that we can maintain our luxurious lifestyle. it’s not fun to hear.. i know.. but it is the truth and there is no way around it.
