I’m in a (crappy) far away land hanging out with Cindy before I go to AZ. I just realized that I needed to change something on my PC at home via RDC. My only net connection is wireless from my box to cindy’s then out through her lo-band NetZero connection. Back on the mothership everything is fine except that the RDC port is not pointing to the my PC in the Linksys. Luckily the faithful Qube was ready to answer my faint SSH whisper from a far. From the Qube I was able to Lynx to the Linksys and point a port at my PC. For some reason the Linksys will not accept authentication from Lynx unless it’s given at the command line a la:

#lynx -auth=admin:password http://192.168.1.1

Then it works great. reconfiguring my home Linksys through the Qube from a far away proxied dial-up via wireless makes me feel like I’m working on a mars rover.
