The other day I took my cat to the Vet for a flea bath… upon picking him up I was asked to fill out a form. The form looked like a mortgage application. They wanted my first, last, and middile name, my address, my home AND work email addresses and phone numbers, my Social Security Number, my DRIVERS LICENSE number!!! and my Data of Birth!!! WTF is wrong with people!!!

How does my driving record, SSN or date of birth, in ANY way concearn the person that is rubbing flea shampoo on my cat??!?!? I was paying CASH for chrissakes! The woman at the counter was confused and annoyed when I explained that “I’d have to pass on the mortgage application…” then she and her supervisor spent the next 10 minutes trying to figure out how to override the computer so that it could charge me (in cash) for the de-fleaing of my animal without knowing my life history.

fuck sakes..
