Pentax Optio S4i

I got my new Pentax Optio S4i this week. I’m impressed. The camera seems very good so far. The software is excellent, and the built-in modes work better than any I’ve ever seen. I replaced my broken Sony DSC-P9 with the S4i. I was going to buy the DSC-T1 since I’m such a Sony whore. But a trip to Ritz Camera swayed me. The photo geek behind the counter convinced me to consider the Pentax. The T1 is still a great camera, but Sony has already announced the T11 in Japan, and I’m not thrilled with the lack of a viewfinder or the sliding lens cover design.

So far the S4i rocks. It has several features I’ve never seen on any camera (3D picture mode, really nice night shot mode, World alarm clock), plus it’s crazy small… it really can hide under a credit card.

Enough blabing… here are the consummate sample pics..
