GetAnyGame
Inc.
Like
video games? Check out GetAnyGame. We rent video games "Netflix
style" through the mail. We also have a system that allows
people to make loads of money from their used games by renting
them to our users on consignment. I am one of three founders
of GetAnyGame Inc. The buzz around this company is truly awesome;
we've been featured in articles from the New York Times, and
Reuters, and interviewed by TechTV. I also ended up on the cover
of an Italian tech rag called HappyWeb
for all the shenanigans we pulled during our launch.
NuWestArt
LLC.
A
global aggregator of unique art. NuWestArt is the Amazon of
hard to find art pieces from around the world. NuWestArt was
founded when we realized that there was no one place a person
could go to purchase fine art. I'm not talking about a print
store here, I'm talking about original sculptures and paintings
and even furniture... unique hard to find pieces. Stuff you'd
want to decorate your house with. NuWestArt is that place. NuWestArt
was launched in 2003 and is my newest venture. I am a co-founder
and CTO of NuWestArt LLC.
OmniMeta
Corp.
The
workhorse of the bunch. OmniMeta was born from the ashes of
Dataverse to take over the network services business from Dataverse
and service the existing NS clients. OmniMeta is an Internet
services company that resale's service out of Exodus data centers.
We specialize in providing custom IDS solutoutions, security auditing and analysis, pre-firewalled T-1 connectivity and
co-location for small and medium sized business in the Orange
County area. OmniMeta also serves as a catalyst for many of
my other businesses and personal projects. OmniMeta was founded
by me in 2002.
gigaQube
This
is my cool-ass fileserver / mass storage solution. Built out
of a Cobalt Qube and modified to be useful as a real fileserver
while still retaining the look and feel of a first class conversation
piece / Star Trek prop. I'm still improving
it. The next version will have over .5TB of storage on tap.
Open Source of course... It runs NetBSD/Cobalt which is a major
improvement over Cobalt Linux. Check it out.
ShonSAT
No
page up for this yet as it's still deep in the research phase.
I intend to be the first person to build and launch (actually,
pay to have launched) my own personal earth orbiting satellite.
Guffaw if you must... it's really not as hard as it sounds.
I've got most of the preliminary design work done. I was inspired
to do this by AMSAT and serveral
other recent satellites sent up by semi-amature groups for very
low cost. My design uses reaction
wheels to control the orientation of the satellite which
simplifies the design by keeping the need for liquid propellants
at a minimum.
Free
Webmail
I'm
in the process of testing a free web based email services similar
to mail.yahoo.com that I've been wanting to launch for years.
The system is based on Qmail, Vpopmail, and SqurrielMail running
on a Linux/MySQL/PHP/Apache backend. I'm doing this because
everybody can use more mail accounts, and it's a great way for
me to utilize the huge mass of domains that I've acquired over
the years. It's also a good testbed for research into other
ideas that I have. You can signup for a test account here.
